At the centre once again is formidable Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the Editor-in-Chief of Runway, known for her razor-sharp wit and composure. While the first film followed Andy (Hathaway) as a newcomer finding her footing at a high-fashion magazine, the sequel sees her return to Runway in a very different role, as Miranda navigates the challenges of a rapidly evolving media landscape. The story also brings back Emily (Blunt), Miranda’s former assistant, who is now a powerful executive at a luxury brand, one that holds the financial backing Runway may need to survive. Cast Returning to reprise their roles are Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, alongside Meryl Streep. Besides them, the sequel also introduces some new faces such as Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu and Kenneth Branagh, among others. Release Date Based on Lauren Weisberger’s novel, The Devil Wears Prada was a box-office hit and earned two Oscar nominations. The Devil Wears Prada 2 arrives in theatres on May 1.
